Bom Diggy is a song by British singers Zack Knight and Jasmin Walia. Information technology was released on 24 Baronial 2017 through the Creative person Originals subsidiary of Saavn Music and YouTube.[two] [iii] [4] [5] The master verses are sung in Punjabi and English,[6] while the sampled chorus is in Bengali.[7] The single was serviced to iTunes, Spotify and SoundCloud at the same day. A remix version by Dillon Francis was released on 31 January 2018.[eight] [9]

Later, Zack Knight made a remake of this song as "Bom Diggy Diggy" for the Indian movie Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, which was released on 8 February 2018 through T-Series, and produced by Knight and Yo Yo Honey Singh.[ten] [11] Every bit of April 2021, both versions of the song accept over 820 million combined views on YouTube.[12] [13] [14]

Groundwork [edit]

On 15 August 2017, Zack Knight released a trailer for the single. Described equally "The US police team was searching Zack Knight and Jasmin Walia for stolen money from the banking company. Later, seem they was counting the money." The video background was at party club. Background music was equanimous by Zack Knight. The music tune was fabricated with unique $.25, with some English rap. A remake version of this song had inverse some lyrics with Knight's vocals and fabricated more than Panjabi bits with heavy EDM.[15] The chorus of the vocal samples vocals from a Bengali folk song, found in a Vocalization of India sample pack.[7]

Critical reception [edit]

Kat Bein of Billboard wrote: "This rails is a super-tricky tune that already featured some great electro elements over its Indian influence."[sixteen] Dillon Francis said, "It'south slap-up to run across that the original 'Bom Diggy' single was one of the biggest tracks of last year. The remix is a groovy way to be involved in something with cantankerous-cultural entreatment and it'southward exciting to be involved with a platform that supports independent artists."[17]

Music video [edit]

The Bom Diggy official music video was released on 24 Baronial 2017 on YouTube. The video was directed past Luke Biggins, Roger Russell and Knight himself. The music video starred Knight and Jasmine Walia. The video is most dancing, where Knight and Walia had performed to this vocal. The official music video has over 100 million views on YouTube equally of April 2021.[18]

The version of the song in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has a quite different music video, used in the motion-picture show. Both music videos, along with the lyric video, have received over 960 million views on YouTube equally of April 2021.[12] [13] [fourteen]
